Slight delay in posts. My bad. There was an issue with a kitchen knife, a stubborn avocado stone… and my finger.
Or, as I like to call it, my first health food injury.
But I wanted to write today about the slump I have hit.
I knew I’d hit it eventually though I’ll admit it’s come sooner than expected. And, in truth, I blame that pesky avocado.
Saturday started out fine. I even went for my first ‘outdoor run’ in a looooong time and felt I could work through the app’s training program a lot easier than I had found before (thanks Bloc Party) so there were no complaints my end.
But after I massacred myself in the kitchen, and after a panicked call home, I finally found myself face to face with limited hand usage and an oven pizza.
And I ate it.
All of it.
It was a moments weakness and I caved. And it’s taken me a couple days to really get back into the swing of things.
Some of you might be thinking “Jeez Alex, it was one pizza. Get over it”… but after doing so well and giving myself Wednesdays as treat day, it just set me back a bit.
On Saturday I was at 14 stone 2 pounds and now, today (Wednesday), I’m still at that same weight… despite a yoga session Monday night and Squash last night.
You can eat well, you can exercise… but if your heart isn’t in it, you’re not going to see the results you want.
